Church services

OUR NEXT SERVICES at St Olaf’s – do come and join us! Our services last about 45 minutes.

Sunday 13th June 11am – Morning Worship
Sunday 27th June 11am – Songs of Praise (to launch our new hymn books, this is the first Sunday when we hope to be able to sing again in church!)

Worship we hold services at St Olaf’s at 11am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month throughout the year. In addition, there are services on Easter Day and Christmas Day. The church is open every day for prayer from approximately 9am till 5pm.

On alternate Sundays, there are services at Nether Wasdale Church (it’s at the other end of the lake), at 9am on the 1st Sunday of each month, and at 6pm on the 3rd Sunday.

Cumbria is ecumenical and we like to forget labels, so we have created worship that reflects this. We also know that many come to enjoy Wasdale too, so our services last around 45 minutes. We have four core services that are used in rotation – Morning Worship, Communion, Morning Praise and Celtic Praise – the latter a peaceful and inspiring way to share time together in the Celtic tradition. All four services have been compiled and written especially for St Olaf’s.

If you are coming to join us and have a musical talent – do please let us know* and bring it with you! We have an organ and a music system when no organist is available, and love to make use of visiting musical talent when we worship! (* e: wasdalehead.church@gmail.com or t: 01946 725 725)
