Worship we hold services at St Olaf’s at 11am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month throughout the year. In addition, there are services on Easter Day and Christmas Day. The church is open every day from approximately 9am till 5pm.

On alternate Sundays, there are services at Nether Wasdale Church (it’s at the other end of the lake), at 9am on the 1st Sunday of each month, and at 6pm on the 3rd Sunday.

Cumbria is ecumenical and we like to forget labels, so we have created worship that reflects this. We also know that many come to enjoy Wasdale too, so our services last around 45 minutes. We have four core services that are used in rotation – Morning Worship, Communion, Morning Praise and Celtic Praise – the latter a peaceful and inspiring way to share time together in the Celtic tradition. All four services have been compiled and written especially for St Olaf’s.

If you are coming to join us and have a musical talent – do please let us know* and bring it with you! We have a superb little chamber pipe organ, as it has no pedals pianists can play it, and a music system when no organist is available We love to make use of visiting musical talent when we worship!
